If you’re feeling jealous of any friends grandfathered into an existing AT&T unlimited data plan (especially since ‘unlimited’ was redefined from ‘5GB before throttling kicks in’ to ’22GB before throttling if congested’), the company has good news: it is launching a brand new version of unlimited data tomorrow.
Re: Windows 8 app for Uverse I believe this conundrum was answered in the second post, but was not recognized because it is a simple basic reason (which was not mentioned in the post). Apps are for simple/primitive portable device OS's not computer level OS. https://partykeen633.weebly.com/publisher-app-for-mac.html. Take the U-verse experience with you with the free U-verse App for Windows. Watch Live TV and On Demand shows, manage your DVR, and use the app as a remote. Best Video Software for the Mac. I added the mac address to allowed list but still it won’t find my chromecast using chromecast app on windows 7 or windows 8. I can cast youtube from my iphone just fine. Sensible Cyber Parenting always recommends starting home online protection with the router as the best practice, first-line defense. (see Router-based parental controls.)In that post, I reference the fact that it is impossible to use OpenDNS (or other router-based parental controls) if you have AT&T U-verse without adding an additional router.
Pricing starts at $100/month for a single line, plus $40 for each individual line. Unfortunately, there’s bad news too. As The Verge notes, there are some pretty big catches – the biggest of which is that you need to be a DirecTV or U-Verse subscriber to even be eligible, which of course adds to the cost if you don’t already have a subscription …
I subscribed to AT&T U-verse about a month ago, and when I added a new mail account on my MBP (Mail v. 6.3 - OS 10.8.3), everything worked like a charm. It set up automatically as a Yahoo IMAP account, and I had no problems sending or receiving email.
Then, two days ago, the AT&T (Yahoo) mail server started rejecting my password. I deleted the account, started over ad nauseum, but to no avail. First call to AT&T Support yielded no help, but the second time I used the Chat feature and got an excellent service rep. She walked me through the set up and gave me the proper settings, so here they are (the settings that my MBP was auto-filling were incorrect - they were IMAP but the new settings are POP):
Type: POP
Incoming Mail Server: inbound.att.net (not imap.yahoo.att.net - or whatever my Mac auto-filled in)
User Name: [email protected]
Password: ************
Advanced Tab: Port 110
Best os x version for hackintosh. Authentication: Password
Outgoing Mail Server: outbound.att.net
Advanced Tab: Use secure sockets layer (check this)
Authentication: Password
Picture editor like paint for mac. User Name: [email protected]
Advanced Tab: Use default ports
Here's the critical part: Before ANY mail can be received or sent using your Mac Mail client, you must log in at http://www.att.net, click on CHECK MAIL, and enter your same User Name and Password.
U Verse App For Mac
Then you have to click on the AT&T link at the top/right of the page, and select MY ACCOUNT. You'll be taken to a page that has your User Name already filled in, but you have to put your Password in again.
Once you do that, your Mac Mail will work. If you shut your computer down, or it sleeps for a while, your Mail client will not work until you log into ATT.net and follow the above steps.
Is There A Uverse App For Mac
There's something going on with Port Blocking on AT&T's end, but if anyone knows how to fix this issue without having to log in at the AT&T site, please post it here. https://partykeen633.weebly.com/neat-app-for-mac.html.
